Stella Lee's 2012 Best Make Up Products

December 27, 2012

Thank you everyone for all the support in 2012!
Because so many people ask me what's the best make up products IN MY OPINION, so I am sharing my list!! This is my 2012 Best Make Up Products Award yay! :wink:

This post is inspired by my friend, Kirari, beauty blogger from thailand whom I met a year ago through NAPBAS.. She has made 2010 and 2011 top cosme, so i was thinking "hey it sounds fun! why not i try it as well?" So yeah!! :D

Please note that this list is based on my preferences and my experience, it may not work for you as good as on me. Anyway, you may click the picture on the product to see the full review! :wink:
If I do not mention the type of the products, such as concealer or lip pencil, it means that I haven't found any product that is suitable to be awarded yet, so I dont bother to write :lolpastel:

So, let's start!!

FACE =

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Primer / Base Make Up   :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

Shu Uemura UV Under Base  is my most favorite base. It is lightweight and moisturise my skin very nice. It also makes my face less shiny, and healthier. I bought this over a year ago and I use it very rarely because I :loveword: this so much :yayblush:

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Foundation  :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation won the best foundation on my award! I used to :loveword: Coverderm and MUFE HD, but coverderm is somehow difficult to blend, and MUFE looks oily in real life. This foundation instead looks amazing both in picture and in real, it has medium-high coverage, and blends beautifully on skin

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Powder :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

NARS Loose Powder in Flesh, it's the only loose powder I trust.. I have never reviewed it on blog before, sorry.. I bought this from overseas and the price is ridiculous, its about 40USD.. BUT, it has 35gr, while usual loose powder is only 10gr.. This loose powder makes my face oil-free and soft, by soft I really mean LOOKS SOFT and FEELS SOFT.. I have owned this for over a year and it's not even used 1/3 of the products :)

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Concealer  :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

n/a

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Contouring  :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

I do not contour my face that often but I MUST contour my nose to give it a better shape on pictures. I hate flat nose and over exposure pictures that makes people look like have no nose :lolpastel:
So Diamond Nose Contouring Powder is very very great for me. It is very natural and light so I wont end up like plastic, and the colors are very subtle. I :loveword: it :) :) :)

EYES =

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Eyebrow Powder, Pencil, & Mascara :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

Dolly Wink Eyebrow stuff is on my list for best eyebrow products.. I own all of the set and used all of them to enhance my eyebrows
:loveword: how it is very natural and light, more importantly it doesn't have reddish tone so I dont end up with brown-reddish eyebrows like most of eyebrow products have. Their eyebrow stuffs are just perfect for me.. Also it is because they have colors option to choose from so I can match it with my hair :oops:

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Eyeliner :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

Again, Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner is myyyyy favourite. I never did a full review of this eyeliner, but I only did comparison review with its competitor, K-Palette.. And you may read it HERE. In terms of anything, I dont see any bad points of Dolly Wink, even for its expensive price I wont say that it is that expensive in fact. Because mine last for 2 years!!! And I used every single liquid from this eyeliner, it doesnt dry out like any other liners, crazy or not! :oops:

I have been trying to get the dupe for this amazing eyeliner but so far I havent found any, that's why when I go to Japan I will stock this baby!
I dont like their pencil eyeliner though..

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Mascara  :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

Dolly Wink Long Mascara. It seems that I find their eyes make up pretty good, although I hate their false eyelashes :lolpastel:
This mascara seriously gives difference on my short and thin lashes as it contains fibers to extend my lashes. I was thinking to get Etude House Dolly 3 Step Eye Mascara as well, but talking about efficiency, the etude house one requires a lot of applications to get the perfect result :x And I hate applying too much mascara because it will be very difficult to remove.. So yeah, Dolly Wink wins 11/12 la

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: False Eyelashes :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

Yes I do not like Dolly Wink lashes, period. It is too thin but the length is toooo long and it is not that obvious in camera, also the price is very expensive. I :loveword: Diamond Lash! Precisely Diamond Lash Glamorous Eyes, the one with purple box. And I always stock this lashes on my drawer. I can get it for about 1000yen for 5 pairs, while Dolly Wink 1280 yen for 2 pairs. Talk about economic point

Also it is very strong and can be re-used many many times. It also gives dramatic result! :oops: :oops: :oops:
I have never made a complete review for this lash either, I apologize. But now you know why I :loveword: it right :lolpastel:

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Eye Primer  :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

What else than Urban Decay Primer Potion. I dont think I need to mention why it is that good. I bought it on my own like 1,5 year ago, and I only use very tiny amount for each make up, I only use 95% so far I guess. It's very worth it

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Eyeshadow  :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

Some people will probably think that I will recommend Urban Decay Naked Palette but to be honest I am pretty much attracted with The Balm Nude Tude Palette. Because it has more color variations and the decoration is much cuter :lolpastel:
My favourite colors on the go are Snobby, Seductive, and Sleek. It is also smaller than UD so it's better for traveling! :oops:

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Eyelid Maker :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

DUP Wonder Eyelid Tape please, very very recommended. It gives very natural double eyelids and last long as well because the glue is very very strong!

CHEEKS =

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Blush on :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Highlighter :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

LIPS =

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Lip Balm :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Lip Pencil :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Lipstick :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

:loveword: Shu Uemura Rouge Lipstick!! Everytime I use this lipstick, everyone ask me what lipstick I use because the color is so pretty. So here you go, my most worn lipstick, especially on self-picture. Shu Uemura Rouge Lipstick in CR 330. It's a pretty coral pink color, that's not too bold, yet not too natural. It's just, perfect!

The color reminds me of candy, and the lipstick is VERY moisturizing and glides soooo easily on lips. Even when I have dry lips, this lipstick helps to cover the chappy lips perfectly :loveword::loveword::loveword:

Though the packaging is very easy to get dirty, and not as nice as YSL Rouge Volupte, but this is by far the best lipstick I have ever tried. Why I dont review it? Because i only have one T_T and usually I am too lazy to review lip products for one color only.. lol But now you know my fav lipstick!!

 :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3: Lipgloss :hearts3::hearts3::hearts3:

There's no lipgloss that can defeat my favorite lipgloss, Holika Holika Honey Bouquet Lip Gloss! They are huge and cheap, so it's very worth it. About the quality, dont hesitate, this lipgloss is very moisturising yet gives perfectly juicy healthy lips. It blends beautifully on my lips, and the colors are ALL so pretty!! :yayblush: :loveword::loveword::loveword:

Phew!! That's my Best make up list!!
After years playing around with make up, I've always wanted to make this list! And these products I mentioned are seriously WORTH YOUR MONEY!:oops:

I havent found some good products to fill on some categories.. Especially on cheeks :roll:Because I think I rarely wear blush :lolpastel:

I hope this list is useful for you!! And will let you have idea what product to pick to start your new year. My beauty finding isn't finish yet. I still havent discovered a lot of interesting beauty items.. And I will be doing it for another year to create the next 2013 Best Make Up Products!

This is a never ending journey :lolpastel:
