JENESYS 2.0 Day 6 : An Old Dream for A New Dream
November 21, 2013
Sorry, I kinda abandoned the blog post about the JENESYS 2.0 program but here's my effort to put every little things into a proper blog post! ^.^
So where were we again?
Oh yeah, I moved to Fukuoka Prefecture! And after a few days stayed at Fukuoka city, we moved to Aru Aru City!
So what's there ?? ^.^
As I came in Autumn, the weather was quite windy and chilly, but in a good way. I really like cold places because I hate heat lol that simple haha
This area is a small city outside the main Fukuoka city, so you cant really expect tall buildings. Instead we can see mountains clearly ^.^
Upon arriving at AruAru City, I screamed and threw my bag over on the floor LOL and asked my friend to take pic of it. Why?
Of course cos I saw LEVI! ^.^
Yes!! We're at Kitakyushuu Manga Museum!
There are many manga museums spread all over Japan, but this Manga Museum is dedicated for mangakas who were born and had their mangas set in Fukuoka!
It's located at Aru Aru Buildings in Kokura City, and it has 3 floors!
Price for adult is 400Yen which is quite affordable for me
Unfortunately as it's a museum so we cannot really take pictures unless there's a sign, and it's quite limited
Like this wall lol
Here are some of the mangakas drawing who participated in Kitakyushuu Manga Museum
Spot any mangakas that you know? hahaha
So basically this manga museum features all the mangas from old era to current era, as well as some drawing collections and real sketches mantas by the mangakas
And some of the students were allowed to participate in manga class! I joined of course hehe
And I do miss those G-Pen and Rotring and Maru Pen and so on T___T
As some of you know, my childhood dream was to be a mangaka, until I reached age of 14 lol
And yes, I have studied manga too before.. To be honest, I havent drawn manga anymore that much so I kinda miss it!
My hair color has faded by this time and to be honest I really like this subtle brown color on me! Maybe I will change my hair into this color next time?
We were only given 30 minutes, and the teaching is in fact, just tracing the manga so you can draw it HAHAHA
well, obviously, you cant possibly learn all the manga tricks within 30 minutes so that's the best way
After I did tracing, then the instructor told me to try drawing on my own and I said I had no confidence cos I havent drawn for a long time
But in the end I did..
When I uploaded the above picture, I dont know but it receives more hits and likes than my face LOL
I was telling how I wanted to be a mangaka back then. It was my dream to study manga in Japan, become mangaka's assistant, and make my debut, then get million of copies hahaha
I blame no one but myself for not pushing myself more to defeat every obstacles and all the responsibilities. I was given the reality, and truthfully, I wasn't strong enough to fight back and pursue my dream back then so I moved to a safer path
Apparently after I read some of the comments, most of them also have their own childhood dreams which they cant make it come true
One thing that I learn from my life is, a dream leads to another dream
I am very thankful of my manga roots and how I learn to draw, so I can be quite good in make up
Although I dont become a mangaka now, but it's a part of me and will always be, and I am very thankful of my experience!
Now my another dream is in make up world, and I am going to fight this time and wont let it go!
Now people will know that why I am such an indoor person. Because I grew up by reading and drawing mangas at home hahaha
Did this within 15 mins so it wasn't that neat T________T
And I wasn't even being humble, my sensei would scold me if she saw this HAHA
Anyone care to share their own childhood dream too? ^.^
After that we moved to Asakura City. A small village in Fukuoka Prefecture that's quite far haha.. Maybe 3 hours?
But it's a smooth ride, unlike Jakarta pls. 3 hours sometimes only 10km LOL
Why we were here is because the students were given chance to interact with the local people for about 3 hours and try the local food!
No hot guys apparently, HAHAHA!!
FOOD GALORE~~~~!!!!
They got us each fried rice with some fried fish and veggies and seriously it feels like INDONESIAN FOOD LOL hahahaha How come!!
Pickled veggies! I really love pickles in Japan, it's soooo sooo freshhh ^.^
Feels like eating Indonesian food or no? Hahaha
And anyway, on top of the potatoes, it's Goya.. Or you call it, Pare in Indonesia
Whenever you go to Japan, make sure to remember that GOYA is pare!!
Once I ate with Shintaro and he joked to me saying that's goya and very delicious veggiesAs I like veggies and I didn't know what Goya was so I just ate it
and my face was like this
X_________________________X
Then I hit him
LOL
After the home visit, we moved to Ryokan or Japanese Inn where we sleep in Futon and got Onsen experience!!
It's my 3rd time Onsen!
1st time is at Menard Resort where I did it alone LOL It was super awesome onsen and luxurious experience for me ^.^
The second time finally I made a little move to be a little brave. I went to onsen during Kawaii Leader trip, with Eva Cheung HAHAHAHA T____T
Anyone jelly? lol
Then this is the third one, with the female students.. Still a lil bit shy but it's ok!
After onsen, obviously you will have a super great sleep ^.^ cos it relaxes your body hehe
Then in the morning we had to move on, after all the trips we had to attend some meetings and study sessions as after all we came there for studying. So, I wont feature it on my blog because it's boring hehe
Just enjoy the last scenery of Asakura City pictures!!
For our last day together, we did presentation of what we were doing and I really really love my group! It's all filled with so many strong characters and everyone is so lovely! 14 different countries in 1 group, and what makes us the same is our love and passion toward Japan!
Back then my old dream was just to be a mangaka, I only knew a small world
Now my world has expanded, and I have more dreams and I know there are many things that I like!
I like Make up, I like Japanese Fashion, I like Traveling, I like Meeting New People
I like Foods, I like writing blogs, I like taking pictures, I like Japanese Culture
I like Entrepeneurship, I like studying, I like Music, I like teaching make up
And after graduate, I want to work in this field, working in area that I love. But since I like a lot of things, so let's see what's next! ^.^
Anyway, thank you so much for Japanese Embassy for flying me to Japan and YEY, I got this Scholarship Certificate HAHAHA
Now my valuable experience has increased again ^____^
After all when we're young, we need to create a lot of memories so we wont regret it when we're old
