Jiyugaoka Sweets Forest

Another recommendation place to visit in Tokyo! I hope this kind of blog post also entertains you!
I am so happy after I wrote many recommendation places in Japan, many readers came after me and said it's helpful for them because they don't know where are other places they need to visit. You're welcome, so happy to share all these kawaii spots in Tokyo

This time is special for desserts lovers! This is the place where you can eat sweets and it is located at Jiyogaoka. It's under Toyoko line, around 10 minutes from Shibuya Station!

Jiyogaoka is so pretty and a mixture of Modern European city and the beauty of Japanese Sakura is incredible. The people are so laid back there and it has so many desserts shop and nice cafes & restaurants

Jiyugaoka Sweets Forest is located in this area as well and the place itself is pretty popular. In case you're lost, you can ask police for direction :D

By the time I reached it, the sun has set down so they turned on the lights and made the ambience more magical

This year when I came is their 10th year anniversary!

The main lobby features many photographs of the patissiers whom working at Sweets Forest

Sweets Forest is basically what you call a desserts food hall. There are many desserts shops inside the place and you can place order at one shop while your friend has sweets from different shop, and you're free to eat it together on one table

To be honest I find the tree decoration is a little bit lame and fake, and the tables and chairs are not as cute as the shop stalls. I think I put too much high expectation ^^;

So I was going around to snap some pictures and here are some shops inside Sweets Forest :

Berry Berry is the one that features so many kawaii desserts and it features many strawberries on their desserts!! This is the most kawaii sweets I find in Sweets Forest, and this one is the best for picture as it's so photogenic

I mean.. Look at this . .

If the dessert could become a girl, then she would be a real princess

Too pretty to be true!

Thiramisu

LOL

Oh Japanese EngRish hahaha..

I think the price is quite decent for average Japanese Cakes but still quite expensive for Indonesian ^^;

Irina specializes on other kawaii sweets such and I spot mostly they feature roll cakes or sponge cakes

CHO KAWAII~!

Mix'n Mixream.. I don't know if Japanese is too good at pun, or too bad LOL

Here is the menu of Mix'n Mixream! Focusing on waffles with ice cream, it's so tempting!

One of the most popular shops inside there is Hong Kong Sweets Dessert, providing Hong Kong Dessert both cool and warm! And they make it as cute as possible

Japanese is always so good at creating something to be cute!!

There's also Crepe Shop named Merci Crepe!

I think they also sold this macaron candles!!!

And all of these crepes are FAKE.. Yes they're just dummy and I don't get it HOW COME IT LOOKS PERFECTLY REAL!!

Look at that . .

Maison de dessere features hotcakes but when I was there there's no stock of products or dummy provided so I can't take any examples of it..

But in exchange I also have here Le Souffle - Chocolatier!

And of course they're specialised in Chocolate!!

Though the chocolate looks tempting, I still find Q-Pot Chocolate looks fancier than them XD

Other famous desserts is their soufflé which I heard is incredibly soft and tasty however since it's not pretty on picture so I skipped it (T___T)

They also offer Parfaits!

So I came there with my friends, and three of us had different items for the sake of blog's pictures LOL

Warm Hong Kong Dessert!

Strawberry Cakes from Berry Berry! So pretty!!

And mine, Princess Crale!!!
I picked it because it's super pretty

But I have to say sorry that the taste is meh.. Over-rated to be honest
I like Q-Pot desserts more and this one is, Idk, the cream is a little bit thick and sickening
And the macaroon is not that good, I prefer Laduree or TWG

The quality is decent but for Japanese standard that I expected from a place that specialises on dessert, my cake disappoints me

Maybe next time I should come for the Souffle that is not beautiful on picture but tasty

This is what I get if I am being fooled by the physical appearance
Bitter taste afterwards

LOL

  3. My mouth watered so much looking through these pictures...Everything looks so yum! I think I also would have been taunted by the beautiful appearance and picked the Princess Crale dessert. It's too bad the taste was so-so. Thanks for always recommending cool places in Japan!

  4. The sweets look wonderful! It's true, once you taste the best macarons, the other ones just seem mediocre.
