University Graduated

October 17, 2014

Me in my kebaya for graduation! yes, you read that right, I officially have S.Ds at the end of my name!!!

For those of you who don't know, the past few years I have spent my time as a visual design communication student. Working and studying at the same time is tough indeed, but for me to finally see this day, I couldn't be happier to have made it this far ^.^

How about you guys? Have you also graduated / waiting for graduation ceremony this year? or perhaps my readers are overloaded by work like I am? T_T I thought I'd finally get enough sleep after graduation, but how wrong I was to assume that! I also get fatter btw and everyone kinda noticed LOL so I'm dieting now. I haven't eaten Indomie in weeks T______T

Anyway, talking about university, truthfully there were times where I got really desperate. The temptation to just simply bail out from uni and become a full time blogger came for many times too often, as it was difficult to juggle the schedule and choose where to put my priorities.

However, I am still one of those who believed that education is an important thing in life. And no amount of money I earn as a blogger could ever compensate the lessons learned during my student years (I still love money tho LOLOL).

I actually have graduated in June, but the ceremony wasn't held until 4th of October. By the time of my graduation week, I was so held up by jobs that it was absolutely crazy! I had to look for my kebaya exactly 24 hour before the D-day T__T luckily I found just one that fit me just fine.

I think the Kebaya gave me a little extra shape which I love! And as an Indonesian woman, I just love to be in it. It makes you feel like a real lady, and just so sooo elegant! ^.^

For my graduation makeup, I did it myself in half an hour or so, it's a very simple eye makeup as I didn't intend to overdone it. Plus my hair is already bright, and I think for an event as formal as graduation it's best if I tone it down a little! As for my hair, I got help from a hairstylist to create the curl. Do you like the look on me?

My parents attended my graduation meanwhile many of my other friends brought along their friends, siblings, and also their significant other. As for me, I was too busy that I forgot to inform any of my friends, I even forgot to invite Anggy so she didn't show up as well.

Just when I thought nobody would take pictures with me, suddenly one of my long-time friend gave me a call and said "Stell, I'm here" O.O I was really shocked! I haven't heard from him for months because we were busy doing our own stuffs, and when I was away, he was also in god-knows-where. Yet, suddenly he came out of nowhere to my graduation and brought me flowers!!!

I have never gotten a bouquet my whole life! T__T <3 Thank you, Hen! But why does it have to be Hello Kitty? not that I dislike hello kitty or anything. Truthfully I'm really grateful that he came, otherwise it would have been so sad LOL if I could turn back the time, I'd like to invite all business clients and friends to come so I could get more flowers and presents LOLOL

So far, it's been getting busier and busier. Business meetings has been going on for weeks long, also got so many interesting new projects to come! Basically I've been running places the whole time working on stuffs, but I'm not complaining, I'm really grateful for every opportunities that approach me this year, and what can I say? no matter how tiring it is at times, I'm so ready to tackle more in the future! :3

Of course, I also need to keep in touch with you guys no matter how busy I get. So in order to keep everything on track, I finally got myself two assistants to help me organise my business on social media, therefore I will have more time to update posts ^.^ yup, many new articles are coming your way so make sure to keep a watch!

So that has been my life post-graduation. How about you guys? anything interesting in your daily life lately? Drop some comments below and share with everybody! ^.^

  16. Congrats Stella, what an amazing achievement! Well done for working so hard, and it's so perfect that your degree will help your blogging career! You look super pretty in your photos- I love the hair and makeup.

I'm in my 4th out of 5 years of study to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. I'm in uni 5 days a week and work part time as a receptionist. I have no idea how I've managed to blog as well, then again I'm nowhere near as successful as you ^^. Hope you get some time to yourself soon!

Graduation was an amazing experience (I had my ceremony this June!) although seriously nervewracking and stressful, my heart was beating so fast when it was my turn to receive my certificate!
