I always trust my hair to selective people. I had been through many accidents that breaks my hair or so on due to some unskilled salons. Thats why no matter how many salons offered to do my hair, I mostly say no if I am not certain of their skills. Ryoji Sakate Hair Lounge is one of my top choices in Jakarta to do my hair on regular basis. Ryoji himself is a Japanese that has been working in various countries including New York Salon :O

However he was away and I need to touch up my hair before my trip to Japan. I could just do my hair in Tokyo but I will have no time therefore why not believe in Japanese stylist in Jakarta?

Glad that the salon has another stylist named Takashi who's experienced both in Harajuku and Toronto for years!!

What I love about Japanese salon is they always make you feel special. IF people visit salon by real Japanese, it's usually small and very homey because they want to make sure each client gets their best time. At other salon I had to stay for 8 hours to bleach and color hair because I had to wait for turns, but not in here

They finished my hair in 3 hours and most of the time the stylist will only take care of me and not accepting other customers

One of the staffs told me that in fact they're mostly full booked but customers never knew it because they tried to adjust the schedule. Say like one customer will come at 11 am, and will be finished in 1,5 hours, then the next customer will be appointed around 1 pm. Talk about VIP hospitality!! 

I asked for more ashy blonde and it will go lighter after a few washes because Takashi told me that way it'd last longer. For now I really like how the color is even and changed my brassy orange tone into more livelier color! 

Takashi is as good as Ryoji and if you cant book your appointment with Ryoji, do give Takashi a try as well because WHY NOT! :D

He works in Harajuku for 11 years and Harajuku area is one of the trendiest area in Japan, famous for its amazing style. He can speak good English and very interesting to talk to
