Shu Uemura 6 Hearts Princess Collection by Takashi Murakami Review

December 27, 2013

Shu Uemura 6 Hearts Princess Collection is their limited edition make up set that's done as a collaboration with Takashi Murakami! He believes that every girl has 2 sides, pink and black. Pink represents feminine and girly, while black represents strong and cool. That's really ME O.O And i am sure every girl must feel like that as well

My style changes a lot from feminine to rock, it just depends on my mood LOL

So I am very happy when I received a set of this make up line for me to try. As if it's a christmas present for me ^.^ Without further ado, let's go!!

First of all is their OH-MAZING make up palette. I have never owned Shu Uemura Eye Shadow before, but I know that there is a designer that often draws his clothing design with Shu Uemura eye shadows, I forget the name though lol

So I am sure that Shu eyeshadow must be so smooth and easy to apply!
Each eyeshadow & blush on their palettes seem to be listed under their single eyeshadow, because on the back of the palette, they write down the shade of it

First stop, is their Heart-Full Pink Parallel Palette! Designed with the pink princess icon on the cover with gold background to represent its elegancy as well as christmas & holiday moment, this palette is a mixture of cute and mature!

The eye shadows come in light and neutral color, perfect for everyday or day look! 4 eyeshadows have subtle light shimmer while for the other 3, they have more shimmers for more glam result
The blush is natural warm rosy colour, considering that the eyeshadows are not that vivid in terms of the colour, combining it with medium shade will bring out the natural complexion better

Here's the swatch :

It comes with light colours and some medium shades for contouring on eye socket. The shimmers are subtle and doesn't fall out easily and although the 3 light colors are quite similar, but it has different shade. The first one tends to be more blue-ish, second is yellow-ish, and third is pinkish..

Next is Enchanted Black Parallel Palette! With the same concept like Pink Palette, this Black Palette still manages to come with cute black princess icon and its colourful decoration to capture every women's heart.

The eyeshadows on this palette are stronger and bolder compared to the pink palette, resulting the blush to be lighter for the whole look's balance. It's more suitable for night or party make up

Here's the Swatch :

The colors are more strong and colourful, with so many shades to play with. It can even be used for eyeliner. Though the boldness and contrast of dark eyeshadows with shimmers might seem overpowering, but the glitter is very fine and again, doesn't fall out. Hence it might make your eyes pop and strong without too much

Each palette comes with 2 dual ended brushes . One brush has one sponge tip and a smudge tip on the other edge. While the other brush comes with blending brush for eyes, and a small brush to apply blush on! Very very practical and I am sure I can have this alone for a traveling!

The palette is quite thick but it is not bulky and heavy compared to other palettes, so it's very easy to bring inside your bag! ^.^ It also has big mirror so we can put make up directly when using the palette

They also come with their Lip & Cheek Fun-tasy which is a lip and cheek tint consists of 5 gorgeous wearable shades with their 6 Hearts Princess Christmas Tree Decoration wrapped on every single tube.

The texture is very easy to apply, smooth, buttery, moisturizing. It perfectly coats the lips and giving it healthy result like a lip cream but last super long like a lip tint. Even after 8 hours, hint of the color is still on my lips. SUPER SUPER LOVE!!! I cant find any fault on this product at all

I also use it on my cheek and it has same perfection, but I prefer to use it on my lips more lol

Left to right : Dream Pink, Fuchsia Fun-tasy, Princess Coral, Magical Red, Heroine Rose

And here's how it goes on my lips  :

I always LOVE Shu Uemur alip products. The color blends so natural on my lips and leaves my lips moisturized. The color also looks nice and vibrant. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Anyway they also have their Automatic Pencil Line that comes in 2 colors. Glittery Black and Purple!
The retractable pencil liner is very creamy and easy to use. It doesn't smudge easily, and i might say it doesnt even smudge at all!

The black liner has glitter on it to give more spark on eyes, while the purple tends to have more reddish tone for glamorous look. The color is pigmented and lasts long on eyes. Even after 7-8 hours they fade, it doesnt produce any sign of panda eyes or whatever

Cos I love the whole collection so much, here are my pictures for these babies hehe

Here's the look of my Pink Innocent!!
I am using pink gradation on my eyes and line the eye with dark copper eyeshadow instead of eyeliner

For lips, I use their Lip & Cheek Tint in Fuschia Fantasy. While the blush is from the palette itself

And here's my Dark Rock look hehe
I was using the combination of the white, gold, and green eyeshadow to achieve soft but mysterious look! I was wearing their lip tint in Magical red. Oh btw, the white eyeshadow is also used to highlight my nose bridge hehe. I avoid using eyelashes because I am afraid it will cover the eyeshadows ^^;
