Review : Dolly Wink Eyeshadow in no 01

August 02, 2013

At last another Dolly Wink eyeshadow! Hahaha

I rarely use eyeshadow to be honest. Because it doesn't give much different on my eyes. But every girls need an neutral eyeshadow palette that can be brought everywhere with them. Especially when going out at malls, or traveling. So I ordered a Dolly Wink eyeshadow in 01, which consists of everyday brown shades

It comes with their bulky packaging with Tsubasa Masuwaka's picture on top of it. Dolly Wink offers a lot of eyeshadow shades due to its popularity but I have never tried any of it. I decide to stick with the safest choice

The packaging of the eyeshadow is cute and represents Dolly Wink quite well. It comes in round shape and has transparent area with heart shape to see the colors inside the palette. Decorated with beautiful swirls makes the design is cute and pretty!

The product is made in Japan and comes with their functional dual ended mini brush. One is the usual sponge tip and another end is pointy small brush

Usually I use the pointy end for the lightest and darkest eyeshadow for my under eyes area to give gradation

It is placed neatly. But make sure to bring your own mirror because this eyeshadow palette doesn't have mirror where can help you to see the eyeshadow application better

Here's a better picture of how the color looks like in real life

Left is a neutral champagne color. I usually apply it on my eyelids to help neutralize the colours

The second one is the light gold shimmery eyeshadow. It is very great color to help brighten up eyes. I usually use it on my inner corner or the centre of my eyelids

Third one is the warm reddish brown shade. I usually use this to blend eyeshadow on my crease or on outer corner

Last one looks like dark grey shade, but when it's applied it becomes dark brown instead. It helps defining your eye shape. I use this to smudge my eyeliner usually

But of course you can use it whatever you like!

And here's the swatch of this palette

The texture of this eyeshadow is surprisingly very soft and smooth!!!!!!! It is probably one of the smoothest eyeshadow I have ever tried!! It blends very nice on eyes, although the colours don't show up as great on eyes as on my wrist. For people who like very bold eyeshadow may find this eyeshadow a bit lacking, but it's very great for natural make up!

The colours that they offer is very wearable and works nice with every skin tone and occasions! This has become my palette-on-the-go because it's so easy to use and works great!
One thing I notice is, the eyeshadow doesn't last long. Maybe around 5 hours or so, the color starts fading.

I love it too much so I use it to put make up on a lot of my friends haha. Here's one of the pictures that my friend took when I was busy dolling my friend up LOL
I looked so serious whenever I apply make up to someone o.o

I was making the eye bag make up that's popular recently. Korean actresses and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu are spotted wearing the look a lot these years
I use the light eyeshadow underneath the eyes, and give fake illusion of shadow with the 3rd brown eyeshadow by smudging it below it

I might make tutorial of it later when I have time haha

I need new video!! >___<

If you happen to live in Japan, you can basically buy it at any drugstores there. Or maybe if you have SASA stores in your country? [Singapore, Malaysia, HK, etc]

But for Indonesia, I get it from PerfectBeautyShop so you may go ahead and visit their shop as well! They sell a lot of Japanese cosmetics ^_^
