Review : Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly CC Foundation

Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly CC Foundation

One of my favourite cosmetic brands from Korea is Holika Holika. This time I got their Aqua Petit Jelly CC Foundation to share!
I was pretty interested with the name of AQUA + CC + Foundation
It's like all the good things that I need are combined into one miracle product

I got the shades in 01 and 02, it comes in 2 different shades and I want to know which one suits my face the most. It also contains SPF 25 PA++ so it's perfect to be used during the day

It comes in blue polkadot packaging that's very cute and perfect for summer

CC stands for Color Control Foundation so basically it should help to neutralize the color on your face and gives natural looking finish. It's the newly improved of BB Cream that used to give you grey-ish effect

The pump tube packaging is very easy to pump the product and work with, I usually need 2 pumps for my entire face

The color itself has tendency of yellow tone that matches my skin tone perfectly
As you can see from the swatches above that the texture itself is very watery and easy to blend

Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly CC Foundation offers you a very light and sheer coverage, but dewy finish can be obtained by using this product

Unfortunately I am not a fan of this product as this CC Foundation gives my skin greasy looking feeling and although it's supposed to be moisturizing like what they promised, it gives dry patches on my skin especially on my nose. I thought it's because I have dry skin but when I use other CC Creams, the others worked perfectly fine -_-

so I am very disappointed that this doesn't do its job nicely

 Cute blue-white polkadot packaging
 Matches my skin tone nicely
 Last long on face

 Has a little greasy finish
 Gives dry patches on skin
 Only has very light-sheer coverage

On another note, this BB Cream lasts quite long for around 7-8 hours and the color blends nicely on my skin. I hope they improve the formula a bit better so the result will be more flawless on their next product

The products are sponsored by Rie Butik as a review purpose

  1. You have a new layout, don't you? Anyways, I love it very much ^-^
Too bad this CC Cream is not convincing. I'm still looking for a good CC one. It's not as easy as with BB creams and I still don't know if I like or hate them xD Which one would be your fav CC so far?

  2. I loved the Aqua Petit BB cream, but I don't think I'll be getting the cc cream. Since you said it looked greasy, it's not going to work with my skin. But thanks for the review! I would've bought it if I didn't know!

  10. I don't think I am much of a fan of CC creams at all. The only one I can wear alone is probably The Face Shop's Aura Color Control Cream - but it seems to be quite the same as a foundation I think. I also use the Etude House CC cream as a pearly luminescent base and cover it up with bb cream. Hahah bb cream FTW! :D

  12. Same as Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream. We see dry areas too. I am disappointed with this foundation, is not for combination skin

  13. Nice review. The dewy finish is good. I like watery formula even though it's not giving much coverage. Anyway a bit weird such a moisturizing formula can cause dry patches. Your skin condition looks better now I see..!

  14. Wah since it has sheer coverage, this CC Cream must good for daily use :) but then, I think I wouldn't try this one because it seems too white for my skin thoo (I'm NC30), also since you said this one will look greasy when wear I think this CC Cream wouldn't suit my super oily skin -_- Thank you for sharing ^^
