Urban Decay Lip Primer Potion Review

I've owned this product since, last year? The photo's taken long time ago but I only have time to review it today. I was thinking of selling this in fact, but I decided to keep it a little longer. Urban Decay is famous for their primer potion for eyes, it's their best selling product. So what about their lip primer?

Packaging :
Urban Decay's famous for their purple and genie like packaging, including this product as well. I must say that their cover packaging is really unique, as always, and really Urban Decay. It comes out handy, and look like lipstick
Application :
Open the cap, and twist the lip primer to get the product appears on the surface. It's just like lipstick. Apply this before you apply your lipstick or lipgloss, i usually swipe it twice for extra care

Result :
I was kinda disappointed by it at first because it doesn't show up the color better like what I had expected. But then the longer I use it, I notice that it gives huge difference on other aspects instead! It gives me a smooth lip surface so good bye dry and chappy lips! Usually with lip balm, it tends to be dry again after a couple of hours, but Urban Decay Lip Primer gives longer hydration and it sticks on your lips!
It makes lipstick application way smoother, and glides easier! Also I notice that it works amazingly great to keep your lipstick color stay longer! Most of the time, lipstick will fade away after 2 hours, but I can keep the color up to 5 hours if I use this before hand!
It won't change your lipstick color, but it improves the result and I am really satisfied
Where I Got This and Price :
I got this from a swap, but the price in Sephora is USD 20. Quite pricey I must say. You can order this through sephora or any online shops that imports this product to your country
Final Opinion :
Pros :
- Unique packaging cover
- Hydrating
- Makes lipstick glides easier, and smoother
- Make lipstick last longer
Cons :
- Pricey
- Not necessarily important for any make up beginners
- Doesn't make the color more opaque
Although I am satisfied with this product but I don't think it's important to purchase for those make up beginners or people who are in tight budget. Simply because you can use lipbalm, then foundation on top, to get the same result. Even more if you use foundation, the lipstick will show up brighter and more vivid. It's just that using this product will save you much time, and also more hydrating and lasting longer
It's a great product, but I don't think that most of you need it in your life :)
