Urban Decay Loose Pigment Eyeshadow in Gunmetal Review and Swatch

January 10, 2012

Impressed by Urban Decay NAKED Palette so I give this one a go. Loose Pigment Eyeshadow from Urban Decay comes in many colors and the packaging is so cute. See the top of it? it has unique heart pattern, the unique purple packaging also captures my heart. I got mine in Gunmetal which is a silvery dark color. Let's taste it out :p

These powdery-fine, silky soft shadows deliver more intense colour than pressed or cream eye shadows. Try a little for a sheer wash of colour, or layer for bold, shimmering hues. With everything from bold brights to pretty neutrals, there s something for everyone! The Loose Pigment formula is actually mineral makeup, made from pearlized powders derived from minerals. No dyes or synthetic pigments are used. The coolest advantage over other brands loose pigments? No messy pots! The spill-proof tube uses a special internal funnel to keep pigment inside until you re ready to use it. The cap features an ergonomic flared handle and a built-in premium brush. Dip the brush into the colour to apply, or tap out a little colour and use your own brushes.

The applicator is supposed to take out the product and use it directly on your eyes, and place it on your eye brush, but I find that it's a little useless as it's not like every products can be taken out from it. Moreover, the eyeshadow flies out everywhere when I open the cap

as you gals can see, the eyeshadow is super fall out, it flies everywhere, even on the swatch when I tried to put it so carefully. On the desk, it has more eyeshadows there, but I can't lie that the pigmentation is really great. It goes on smooth and easily blendable

Final Opinion

Pros :

  • Comes in many colors

  • Cute packaging

  • Pigmented and vibrant color

Cons :

  • Expensive [you may get this for cheap price if UD is having sale though]

  • Falls out

  • Useless applicator

Rating : C+

Although I'd say that the color is super pretty and pigmented, but the application is super messy! The eyeshadow falls out everywhere, and the applicator and packaging are nowhere help. The packaging although is cute and really "Urban Decay", but I'll be more happy if the pigment is with the usual jar tube as its easier to take them ut

I got it from BeautyofDiva when UD is having sale, so the price is much cheaper than the original price. I am super sure I won't purchase the product anymore if it's price is the original one, which is about 20USD? Super waste of money :-S

But if youre interested in trying it by yourself, just give it a go! :)
