Review : Guerlain Meteorites Perles Light Difusing Perfecting Primer

February 15, 2013

What are you doing if you're given hundreds of pearls inside a bottle and it can be transformed into a pearly pink shiny liquid to improve your face appearance? Are you willing to try those valuable pearls to get a smoother face instantly and improve your look?

I am given one Guerlain Meteorites Perles Light Difusing Perfecting Primer, the fancy face primer that not so many people give a try. Guerlain is a high end brand, therefore the price and the quality may surpass most of cosmetics, but as a make up junkie, this is a rare opportunity. So let's see how great it is!

Description :

This gel formula is the first makeup base with pearls of light; it contains an exclusive, color-control base to camouflage blemishes and discoloration, and pearlescent extracts to capture and reflect light, blurring the appearance of fine lines without adding shine.

For skin that seems lit from within, apply Guerlain Météorites Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer to clean, moisturized skin as an essential first step in any makeup routine. In one step, this extraordinary primer perfects the complexion, and can be used before makeup or on its own.

A luxurious glass bottled packaging that comes in pump type, with transparent body that clearly shows the luminous pearls inside, who may not attracted to it? Even just from a single glance, it's obvious to tell that it's really a classy yet refined product comes from make up artistry. I really love how they put their great logo on the cap, it's not only beautiful but also elegant

The packaging is fragile because it's made from glass, but i love the transparency because seeing the pink pearls inside make this product looks more expensive and high class :)

Like every face primer, simply dispense the pump a little liquid and spread it all over your face, and even it out. Then you may continue to your foundation, and make up routine. But because of its soft texture that helps even out skin tone, if you do want to wear it alone without anything after that, it's alright too!

I need to tell you, this is the SMOOTHEST face primer I have ever tried so far! It has smoothing liquid with shimmery pearls contained inside. It glides so soft, smooth, and absorbed really really fast into my skin. It glides velvety smooth and leaves no greasy feeling, as it's very light-weight I feel not wearing anything

Not to mention the moisturizing effect is even better than most of moisturizer so I usually skip moisturizer when I use this primer. I love the sensation when the pearls are spread on my face, as it has a little cool sensation and smells nice, not overpowering though

This face primer not only prepares my face before foundation application and make the foundation glides better and smoother, but also it evens out my skin tone as well as give healthy radiant glow, a little dewy finish. But unlike most dewy finish, this one doesnt make my face oily, instead it helps producing less sebum on my face..

It also gives brightening and illuminating effect that makes my skin appear fairer and brighter,

Final Opinion :

Pros :
  • Luxurious packaging
  • Smells great
  • Light-weight
  • Absorbed really fast
  • Moisturizing
  • Gives healthy illuminated and brighter skin
  • Evens out skin tone
  • Suitable for all skin type
  • Makes face less oily
  • Helps foundation stay longer

Cons :
  • Expensive
  • Fragile packaging

The price is really really steep and this is the most expensive face primer I have ever tried, phew! But I am amazed by what this primer offers to me and this is in fact a really high quality product. Even from the first time I saw the pearls inside the product, I know that it's different

I won't say that you need to try this as it is really expensive, but unless if you're lucky & can afford it, and into luxurious packaging + high end product, you wont regret own this one :)

I will make sure I use every single drops of this face primer well!
