I haven't blogged about my trip to Korea. After my surgery, I had to stay around a week for recovery and opened up my stitches there. The staffs told me instead of staying in my room, I would have faster recovery if I do outdoor activities. Besides during the end of the winter, the weather was perfect for post-surgery as it helps numbing the pain
I woke up like this, and living my day in Korea like this
It was not that bad on the pictures but in real life I looked like zombie who could hardly talk
Therefore most of the korean trip pictures this time, consists of 90% my mom's face lol
Anyway, knowing that I was in Korea. Some readers of mine who followed me on Instagram said they'd like to meet me. If only I had decent face I would love to, but I was keeping the surgery a secret. However I'd love to meet one or two, and so I contacted one of my readers who left comment on my IG, her name is Nita, and she accompanied me to Bukchon Hanok Village and Gyeokbonggung Palace :D
Yes.. I did a plastic surgery in Korea last end of February..
The reason why I hardly blog and took picture ever since is because I had to recover from the surgery
I don't want to say I encourage plastic surgery, this is just my personal choice. It is like saying if I dye my hair purple then I want everyone to have purple hair too. It is simply just for me only. If you wish to do so, go ahead. If you're satisfied with what you have, go ahead
There are these things that you have to know first before you judge me though :
- I didn't do plastic surgery recklessly. I was given opportunities to have free surgery even around 2 years ago by MANY well-known clinics. However, I had to think thoroughly about it because plastic surgery is a big matter, at least for me. There can be many pros and cons regarding it and I even had thought about just paying it on my own cos I don't want to be seen as encouraging youth to do surgery. However I believe that youth are pretty smart now and can select informations, and I will just think of my happiness in the end. I decided to go with Grand Plastic Surgery because it is one of the most well-established one and located in Gangnam Area too, a super popular district for plastic surgery in Korea
- Also, I prefer to at least live honestly and admit that I do surgery instead of lying to my readers. Paying for my own surgery in Indonesia or Thailand can be done secretly, however I don't want people talk about me just to question whether I do plastic surgery or no. If I do, I say I do. If I do not, I say I do not. However I believe that plastic surgery in Indonesia is still not open yet. Most of them only tell their family and secretive towards friend even lover because of the stigma, so it is back again to individual's personality whether they want to admit it or not. Everyone has their own condition
- I wouldn't like if I had people saying "oh Stella is only pretty after surgery". There are 3 things that I believe are the keys for beautiful appearances besides genetics, those are things that I treat regularly (skincare / treatment / nutrient foods / gym / etc), Make up, and after that Plastic Surgery. I might not be a natural beauty but I am working on it through these 3 things and if somebody says I am pretty just because I do plastic surgery. Seriously, there are far more other things that say somebody are beautiful in appearance besides surgery alone. I seriously still think I need to put on skincare and make up :<
- I receive permission from both of my parents. Half of my big families had done procedures before [although none of my parents did] so it's not strange for us. Mom said when I was younger when I wanted to enhance my features, she wouldn't oppose it. Anyhow, that's kinda strange since mom allows me for surgery but she never allows me to dye my hair blonde LOL
- I do nose surgery [rhinoplasty] not because I am trying to be caucasian. Having tall straight nose is not caucasian trait, even from thousand years ago the beautiful women's traits from Chinese / Japanese / Indonesian / other countries are big eyes, tall straight nose, clear face, and so on. I want taller nose so I look better on side profile, more 3-Dimentional and structured
- I am a Catholic. Before my big decision, I was consulting to many many friends of mine, including some priests and elder-Christian-Brother kinda things for a year and more. I just knew too from them that neither Christian nor Catholic are against plastic surgery, but they didn't encourage it either. They're asking the reasons behind it and whether we're good persons or bad persons, it is not determined by that alone. So, if somebody says that by having plastic surgery will get me into hell, then let God judges me in the end. I had dozens of reasons to talk about my reasons but let my church friends and God knew it only since I don't want to make this blog post more about religion. I heard from my best friend who's Muslim [Anggy] that in Islam it's forbidden to do so. Things like hair extension using human hair, eyebrow tattoo, and such too are against their law. So if you're Islam and you don't want to go against your law, don't do it. Do what makes you feel happy and not guilty. I do not say my religion saying that my action is what people should follow, but there are other things to reconstruct about myself instead of just taking my plastic surgery action into a list. If you want to do plastic surgery and you have religion, consult with your priest / ustad / others about it. Religion is very difficult subject and I am not very knowledgeable about it, so since all of us are not saint either, let's not bring God to bring me down either, shall we?
Also . .
Having plastic surgery won't instantly make you pretty like SNSD. So stop saying that I cheat because I won't look that different in the end. Say if your face score is 5, after surgery you'll just get 6 or 7 la approximately even if it's changing your whole face. Why? Because the basic face that you're born with can't be altered too much otherwise it will break the skin and composition given. So yes, the natural beauty people like Sandra Dewi or Dian Sastro will never lose to anyone who did plastic surgery, and even though I am plastic, they'll still far more beautiful than me. This is something that people have to know, both if they are going for surgery or not
It is a common misconception that if you do plastic surgery, your face will be like any actress / girlbands. Show me any Korean Plastic Surgery result that can beat any K-Pop stars?
Plastic surgery should be done to enhance your face, not to change it completely, and that's my belief. If you force to change your whole face completely it will look weird and imbalance, or you'll lose your own uniqueness. For me, just do it at some parts and keep the rest. Make yourself getting prettier, but not totally a different person
This will keep you happy, and knowing the limit of plastic surgery won't make you addicted to achieve perfection that you will never have
Also, it will avoid having your children totally different from you. We don't want to make any confusion in the future right lol
Ok now you all know about this, and if you can accept all about what I am saying, please proceed to my recovery day
It will be a long and tough post, but this a real thing and a part of me
It is not complete when we're talking about Korea without mentioning about their Medical Clinic. Korean Medical Clinic is a big boom thanks to countless numbers of patients and Kpop stars whom done the procedure and it is supported by the government too. There are hundreds or even thousands of Korean Beauty Clinic available all over Korea, but the most famous and usually the best are located at the famous district Gangnam
Both of us were invited to come over and visit one of the most famous clinics, Grand Plastic Surgery
Grand is not only for plastic surgery but they also have dermatologist, this time, my mom got to experience what Korea offers in terms of dermatologist :D
Went to Myeongdong yesterday which is the heaven for all the cosmetic's lovers!!!! I talked to myself that I wouldn't buy any but in the end, I still lost to the temptation of what Myeongdong offers to us!

I got this Nature Republic Glow Lipstick and it's super moisturising + colors are soooo pretty!!!
My mom has difficulty finding lipstick color that suits her and she likes the one from Nature Republic. It glides perfectly on our dry winter lips

And I am a slave of masks. I have gazillion masks and always want to try new one! We got it from so many brands, Snail Mask, Nature Republic, Etude House, Tony Moly, Innisfree, etc!!

Then I saw it too in Japan at a lot of beauty department stores but the high price irks me off!
In fact, doesn't matter if it really works but I doubt it just a tool could change your face lol
However, a few of my colleagues in Japan told me that it really works!
And I happen to find one in Korea!! The price in Korea is same, 290.000 won. But it is under different brand. The one that's famous in Japan is ReFa and you can check the website HERE
The price in Japan is around that too. Basically it's around 300 USD
However I found a discount shop and went crazy, I got 4 T__________T
Thinking that my friend would want it, since I didnt have internet outside my hotel I couldn't reach them

Mom and I tried it the night after we bought it and she swore her face was lifted even only within 5 minutes usage OMG!!!

I am here in Seoul with my mom for 2 weeks getaway! In fact not a total of 2 weeks since we'll be going straight to Bali as well after this
I wanted to make it a family trip but my brother has internship going on right now hence my dad had to stay with him too to take care of him. Unfortunately for him, having a sister with inconsistent schedule and can travel when it's a school time, can be grudgesome. Usually I prefer going overseas when it's not school holiday since it's cheaper and less crowded, but for him who's still at school, it's a pleasure he wouldn't be able to get
Well he can skip in fact but he's quite chicken unlike me so LOL
I skipped many classes when I was having holiday in Japan haha

This is my 4th day report of my trip to Seoul last August, and now it's about to be October wtf.. I received a lot of complaints because I havent finished blogging about this trip. I didn't know youre that interested of my trip more than my beauty stuff posts related lol
Okay so basically my 4th day is quite boring, not so many stories to be told, unlike day 3, because I was going to Everland Theme Park with Sophie! At first we hesitated to go to Everland or Lotte World but my friend who's come to Seoul before recommended me to go to Everland instead because it's more beautiful
Sadly Everland is outdoor, and Lotte is indoor. I picked wrong date on wrong location. That day Seoul was raining and we thought it would be over once we reached Everland but I was wrong -_-"
Why in all day, it's raining when I visited Outdoor Theme Park? God must be playing with me cos I am interesting #gets slapped# LOL

But here's my Day 3 in Seoul, South Korea, 9th August 2012. Gosh it's been 1 month already, I don't even feel it's been a while, feels like yesterday o,o

*uhuk* so basically this is my haul from Korea.. Do not say that I am a spender, I will tell you that 95% of this haul is not for me. These are for my friends and family, they want it because they heard the cosmetics are cheap in Korea.

Internet is really fast in here, and I can connect to wifi most of the times, everywhere!! o.o
That's why I bring my laptop, cos I will be uploading vlog each day [I hope..] so you guys can experience Korea with me too ^.^

I arrived in Korea around 7am, but had to take bus to Seoul, so I actually arrived in my hotel around 10am. Then I couldn't check in, I had to wait until 2 pm, so I wandered around Myeogndong, with my heavy laptop and DSLR inside my bag, and managed to look around and snap some photos
What I love and respect the most about Seoul is that their city is really really clean, and although the weather is really sunny and hot, it's not polluted at all. I get a little breakouts because of the change weather, but I think it's ok
It's quite crowded right now, and I had chance to visit a lot of beauty stores such as Holika Holika, Etude House, Face Shop, Innisfree, and others.. They sell a lot of cheap stuffs o.o And If I mean cheap, it really is!!!
I once saw an eye and lip remover only 2USD from apieu brand!! MAD CRAZY!!
But unlike cosmetics, clothes are quite expensive. See, even if it's on sale, it's still 29.000 won, which is around 30USD -_-" I saw cheaper stuffs like 10-15USD but they're very average
I am going to Dongdaemun soon, cos I heard clothes in there is much cheaper
I also give myself a big applause for trying out Bibimbap!! I never want to eat spicy food nor I can stand it. But when you're in Rome, do it as Romanians! So I always try to eat local food as best as I can!!! I got bibimbap for 6000 won set, around 6USD. including kimchi and water, for free. I thought I had to pay first then I asked in mandarin "mian fei ma?" & the staff said yes lol

Duh nobody speak english in hereeee T____T
Everytime I talk in english they run awayyyyy and they dont want to bother helping me either!!
And probably saw my face, they asked me "ke yi qiang guo yi ma?" [can you speak mandarin?] and so I said "yi tian tian la" [a little bit..] and so all the koreans keep talking in mandarin rapidly until I went ajsdkasjdasdakls @____@
And so everyone kept talking to me in mandarin, and I feel I am not in Korea at all, but in Taiwan wtf
I should have learned mandarin better. I cannot survive in Asia with english, Mostly they use mandarinnnn T___T

The portion is really big!!! I regret for not sharing it but buy one portion instead. I didnt finish them up, mom would go mad at me lol
I will be trying ddokbogi and jajangmyun later, I heard they're very popular!!
After 2 pm I can check in and take a shower, finished dolling up, and now waiting for my friend!!
Better finish everything first and leave soon, so I have something to blog and share about to you all!!

Before my flight to Seoul today, I decide to do a post about what I am bringing there!! I want to keep it as minimum as possible because I don't want my luggage to be over-weight because of make up >__<
I tried to bring a lot of samples make up so I can throw it away when I finish them up. Because when return to Jakarta, I must be havin new stuffs right lol
